Welcome to Balti House

Balti House opened its doors in 1997 and was the first to introduce Amsterdam to original Balti dishes. Baltistan is an area in the far north of Pakistan and India. It consists of the valley of the Indus, surrounded by the Karakoram. It is an extremely mountainous region where the altitude is almost nowhere below 3000 meters. On either side of the Indus Valley there are peaks above 8000m. But in addition to dishes from this region you will find a very extensive menu with specialties that besides the Indian also extend to the Bengali and Pakistani cuisine.

So we can present a wide variety of Tandoori dishes and curries. Both meat and fish and of course very tasty vegetarian dishes.

Our restaurant has built a good reputation among locals and tourists and is also well known by the British expats of Amsterdam. Every day we are pleased to see many regular customers who appreciate our refined cuisine and friendly service.
